Child abduction...nope just bad behavior!

I have tried to take every opportunity to teach BT( which i guess that is what "mothering" is about ) Still as a fairly new mom i have been trying different approaches. I first tried what my family calls the "cooing dove", it is a quiet, calm approach to teaching your children to correct bad behavior. well it failed...not only did that fail it crashed and burned. So plan "B" i thought...stern, assertive and very "super nanny-esk" I will get down on his level and just explain why his bad behavior is not acceptable and then...time out as necessary. OK well that works half the time... so today i informed the powers that be that it was extremely necessary that mom have a time out. i made this deal so that i could run some errands in peace! well never getting to see my husband ( the powers that be) i renegotiated the deal to were he would come with me BUT he had to take lil'chub and i would handle BT. BAD DEAL. from the first moment my foot crossed the Macy's threshold it was bad news. the trip ended 45 min later BT being drug from Macy's with a bloody lip and screaming as if his leg had been removed. as i drag him ( literally) down the isles everyone would look to see who was screaming and if that poor child was being abducted or had lost a leg! we get him out side... at my wits end i look at Matthew , take the baby and walk away. Matthew handled it from there. My mom said that when something like that happens... remove him from the situation and don't take him back until he can behave! Good by mall, i will see you when I'm 40!
